Coffee In Frascati Can Energetically Start Your Wine Tour
Beginning your day with a coffee in Frascati can give you the energy needed for your wine tours at the amazing vineyards around the region.

After a recent trip to a vineyard outside of Rome we decided to check out the town of Frascati, which is the center of this region and a great meeting place for wine lovers. After this brief experience, I decided to make a return trip to see how the town lives and breathes its culture. I started with a coffee hoping to set up for success my exploration of the town. Here is how it went.
What’s Beautiful About Frascati?
For me, the beauty of Frascati lies in its sweeping views of the surrounding countryside and vineyards. On a clear morning the views seem endless. There are points around Frascati to stop and absorb the neighboring towns, take a picture or just sip an espresso.

I chose a coffee bar away from the center of town that had great reviews and typically on the tops of other people’s lists for a great coffee in Frascati. The tranquil sounds of this intimate town are relaxing and inviting, which added to a great experience.
Coffee Culture in Frascati
The coffee culture in Frascati is similar to what you would find all over Italy, but in cities that have less of a coffee history, but more of an integration of coffee into their everyday lives. There are coffee bars all over the town, more than the locals need, but enough for the tourists that will arrive during the summer.

Some cafès in the center of town do seem more touristy, so I found a popular spot on the edge of town. It was quiet and inviting, the staff was helpful and the dogs that surrounded the bar were as well behaved as you’d expect from a regular.
Favorite Coffee Bar In Frascati
My favorite coffee bar in Frascati is a little shop named: Koru. I rolled up to this somewhat secluded part of town, took a measure of the dogs at the outside tables, and felt like I was home”. The friendly staff directed me to an outside seat and swiftly took my order.

My cappuccino and cornetto were delivered quickly, hot (coffee) and fresh (cornetto). I settled in for breakfast while being able to hear myself think and reached a new level of relaxation. I entered the bar to pay, noticed some great food offering lining the walls (jellies, juices, crackers and cookies), but I chose not to indulge this time.
It was a great experience by myself and would’ve been better if I had shared the experience with others as a way to start a day of vineyard visits. I strongly recommend that you visit this delight next time you visit Frascati!

From RomaToday.com:
“For a breakfast with a good coffee in Frascati, head to Koru, a café and bistro on a secluded street in the historic center. Open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., it’s the perfect spot for coffee lovers and those looking for breakfast, lunch, and an aperitif. They offer specialty coffees prepared using various extraction methods, as well as delicious coffee-based beverages, such as the Noccio, with coffee, hazelnut cream, organic cocoa, and whole hazelnuts. In addition to desserts, they also offer sandwiches and bagels, platters, Italian and international dishes, salads, and soups.“
Wrapping Up Coffee In Frascati
More traditionally on the vineyard trail instead of the coffee trail of Italy, if you are looking for a celebration of coffee, culture and tradition, then Frascati might not be on your itinerary. That doesn’t mean starting your day with a coffee in Frascati doesn’t set up the day for successful wine tasting.
